CMR 101 – St. Louis

The United Postmasters and Managers of America (UPMA) designed the Chapter Member Representative Training to equip chapter member representatives with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to fulfill their roles as CMRs within their local chapters effectively. This training program focuses on representing in Investigative Interviews, ELM 650 Mediation, and ELM 650, 651, and 652 appeals and fostering leadership, enhancing communication, and promoting engagement among chapter members to strengthen the overall impact and effectiveness of UPMA at the grassroots level.
CMR 101 is an entry-level class designed for new CMRs who have not handled many cases or those who desire a refresher with particular emphasis on Investigative Interviews, appealing Letters of Warning, and 7-day suspensions. We will also cover day-to-day tactics for encouraging communication for a healthier work environment.
CMR 101 will take place at the Embassy Suites St. Louis Airport on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Every member wishing to attend this event must register.
The training session will begin at 8:00 AM and expected to conclude by 5:00 PM. Lunch will be provided.
